USB 4.0 coming to transfer data faster

Currently the fastest USB technology using in various devices is USB 3.2. Although USB 3.2 supported devices are still beyond the reach of the middle class. Meanwhile, scientists have come up with the latest  technology USB 4.0 USB.

USB 4.0 was first announced in March this year. However, today the USB Promoter Group has released an official press release on its specification. This means that the use of this technology will begin to take place on different devices soon. Although we have already seen a lot of Intel’s Thunderbolt 4 devices in the market, its compatibility has increased by integrating it with USB technology.

Specifications of USB 4.0

A detailed release of USB 4 has been released through a press release. The important ones are given here for your convenience.

Fast: USB 4 supports two-lane operation through the current USB Type C cable. Its theoretical speed is 40 Gbps, which is 8 times higher than USB 3.

Improved display and data control: At the same time, it has been better optimized for external display and data transfer control. That means if your display occupies X Gbps bandwidth on a USB 4 port, you get more 40-X Gbps bandwidth for data transfer.

Backward compatibility: USB 4 is compatible with USB 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2 and Thunderbolt 3 on your other devices. That means you can connect USB 4 supported devices to those old technology ports. However, the desired bandwidth will no longer be available.
